As Halloween approaches, I love to binge on scary movies and stories.  There's something very atmospheric about fall nights that lends itself to curling up on the couch with a blanket and diving into a spooky tale. I recently stumbled upon a fantastic podcast that tells the frightening history behind common folklore. Lore is written and produced by horror writer Aaron Mahnke and is one of my new favorites.  Haunted tunnels, werewolves, shape shifters, cannibalism, and even haunted dolls are covered in these bite sized episodes (they're only about 20-30 min a pop).  Each episode is thoroughly researched and carefully crafted to tell the fascinating stories behind the myths.  Even when Halloween passes after this weekend, I'll still be hooked on this addicting podcast.
